You can search by genus, species, plant origin, color or any word in keyword or description field.

You can add words to your search eg. "rose" shows all roses. "rose red" shows red roses. "rose red 1962" lists red roses introduced to cultivation in 1962.

You can also remove any word from your search.

Minimum search is 3 letters and may get better results by searching partial words "waterlil" will give you both waterlily and waterlillies. "colo" will give you both color and colour. In advanced search you can search from dictionary-like listings.

Tulipa batalinii of horticultural trade is considered a yellow-flowered form of T. linifolia (T. linifolia var. batalinii) from Central Asia. It was desribed by Eduard Regel in 1889.

T. batalinii forms are small 10-30 cm tall tulips flowering in April. The leaves are narrow, grass-like and the pale yellow flowers are egg form opening fully flat in direct sun.

It is a pretty small tulip for rock gardens and containers. There are several named varieties available from growers, including 'gem', 'charm'and 'jewel' series in shades of yellow, apricot, bronze and red.
